# Your first choir in five minutes

**I AM CHOIR workflow · Starter**

**Use it when:** Your first session, or any time you want a clean baseline before adding layers.

## The win

> "Instant chorus lift every time."
>
> Lil Aaron, Producer · Lizzo, Travis Barker, Kim Petras

## Settings to start with

| Choir | Mic | Layers |
|---|---|---|
| Gospel | U67 | Off for the first pass |

## The system

1. Activate your license in iLok License Manager before you open your DAW.
2. Load I AM CHOIR. Find it under AM I AUDIO (AU Instruments on a Software Instrument track in Logic, Other in Pro Tools).
3. Consolidate or bounce one dry solo vocal phrase to a WAV or AIFF under 45 seconds.
4. Import it with Browse Files. Trim long silence at the start and end.
5. Pick Gospel + U67 for a sung line, or Shout for a shouted part. Leave harmonies and octaves off.
6. Click Create Vocals, audition, then drag the output onto an audio track and line it up with your source vocal.

## You nailed it if

- The choir follows your words and timing with harmonies off.
- The output sits on an audio track, not a MIDI or instrument track.

## Skip this

- Feeding it a vocal with reverb, delay or doubles already on it.
- Using Bounce in Place on the instrument track. Drag the audio out instead.
